JoAnn Brouillette

JoAnn Brouillette was appointed to the Board of Trustees in July 2006. She has the longest tenure of the current Board members and serves as chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee. Brouillette is managing partner and president of Demeter LP, a privately held agricultural and commercial warehouse firm headquartered in Fowler, Indiana. She is also an operating partner for St. Louis-based Lewis and Clark Agrifood, a growth equity fund focused in the agriculture and food technology sectors.
Brouillette has a long history of service. At the highest level, she served on the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiation, having been appointed by President George W. Bush in 2003 and again in 2005. She currently serves as chair of the Executive Committee of the National Grain and Feed Association, of which she is past chair, and she is a member of the regional advisory board for First Merchants Bank. She also serves on the board of directors for the Indiana Sports Corporation and Kokomo Grain Co.
Brouillette previously served on the Indiana Ag Advisory Committee and Purdue’s Athletic Advisory Committee. She is past chair of the Greater Lafayette Commerce board of directors and past chair of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, which recognized her as Volunteer of the Year in 2018.
Brouillette’s achievements include having been a YWCA Salute to Women Honoree in 2014, receiving the AgriVision Award from the State of Indiana in 2010, and having been named to the Silver Anniversary Team of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hanover College, where she majored in business administration.
