Chris Lister

Chief Operating Officer Redwood Materials
Chris Lister serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Redwood Materials. Chris formerly served as the Vice President of Operations for Tesla, scaling electric vehicles, energy stationary storage systems, and the supercharging infrastructure. Prior to Tesla, Chris was a longtime executive at PepsiCo. Additionally, Chris is an active member of the Board of Directors at UnitX, which specializes in vision systems and AI technologies.
Chris graduated from Purdue University in 1995 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and also holds an MBA in Finance from Loyola University. He has served on multiple boards and committees recently at Purdue including: the Institute of Hard AI Advisory Board, member of the Victories and Heroes campaign committee, and President’s Parent Council.
I am honored to be part of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy. Critical minerals and energy storage power essential infrastructure across transportation, defense, manufacturing, AI, and more. Increasing domestic access to these resources is essential for building a resilient energy future here in the U.S. Accelerating this transition is urgent. The time to act is now.
