Andres Castrillon is a Director of Government Affairs at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. where he serves as the lead automotive and transportation technology policy advocate for advancing key U.S. legislative and regulatory priorities for connected and automated vehicle technologies. He oversees strategic policy engagement with local, state, and federal government officials in support of Qualcomm transportation policy and business objectives.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Andres led technology and motor vehicle safety policy for Stellantis where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic state and federal lobbying initiatives on a range of automotive industry issues, including automotive safety, automated vehicle technologies, vehicle electrification, privacy, cybersecurity, trade, and supply chain.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Andres led the automotive team at the U.S. Department of Commerce, advising leadership on global policy issues impacting the competitiveness of the U.S. automotive industry. He also served as senior counsel to the Auto Care Association.
Andres holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Denison University and studied law at The George Washington University Law School.
