Alexandru Nazare is a distinguished leader in finance, technology, and international policy. He currently serves as a Board Member of the National Bank of Romania, contributing to the country’s financial stability and monetary policy.
Previously, he served as Minister of Finance of Romania, where he played a key role in economic strategy, fiscal policy, and strengthening Romania’s financial position. He also held the position of Minister of Transport, overseeing major infrastructure projects and strategic investments in connectivity and mobility.
Nazare has a strong background in legislative and international affairs, having served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Deputy, and Senator. He was also appointed as Special Representative of the Romanian Government for the establishment of the EU Cybersecurity Competence Center in Bucharest, the first EU agency hosted by Romania since its accession to the European Union.
