Google Veteran Joins Renowned Tech Leaders and International Experts
in Establishing the World’s First Trusted Tech Standard
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN & WASHINGTON, DC – The Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue today announced that Yasmin Green has joined the Board of Governors of the Global Trusted Tech (xGTT) Standard initiative, aimed to reduce friction, accelerate innovation and enable seamless collaboration among like-minded, trusted partners. As CEO of Jigsaw, an interdisciplinary unit within Google that builds technology to address a range of global security challenges, Green joins a distinguished group of renowned industry leaders and international experts developing the world’s first universal benchmark for trustworthiness across critical and emerging technologies.
During her two decades in the tech sector, Green has also served in a variety of roles at Google, including strategy, business development, and operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa. She is Co-chair of the Aspen Cybersecurity Group, a Senior Advisor to MIT’s Center for Constructive Communication and sits on the board of the Anti-Defamation League. Yasmin has been named one of Fortune’s “40 Under 40” most influential young leaders, and one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business.”
“At Jigsaw, we’ve learned that a secure internet requires not just new technology, but a new framework for trusted collaboration. The Global Trusted Tech Standard is that mechanism for enabling trusted partners to innovate together at speed and scale,” said Yasmin Green. “I’m honored to join this board and help define the essential, values-driven roadmap that ensures technology serves the individuals in free societies, not the adversary.”
“Yasmin pairs deep technical judgment with a commitment to human dignity—exactly what this moment demands. Her leadership at Jigsaw and across civil society will help xGTT turn shared values into a testable standard that protects people while advancing human agency,” said Audrey Tang, Taiwan’s Cyber Ambassador-at-Large and xGTT Standard Chair. “I’m thrilled to welcome Yasmin to the board as we co‑create a resilient digital commons and free the future—together.”
The xGTT Standard initiative, launched by the Krach Institute in December 2024, seeks to accelerate the innovation, deployment and adoption of trusted technologies that enable seamless, secure and efficient collaboration across companies, countries and organizations. Its primary goal is to ensure technology serves its ultimate and highest purpose: the advancement of human freedom.

The xGTT Standard: Operator-Led Framework for Speed
The xGTT Standard will specify practical criteria for countries, companies and organizations to be recognized as purveyors of trusted technology based on evaluation across three key pillars:
- Build (Technology Development): secure-by-design engineering, IP integrity, transparent supply chains
- Adopt (Technology Deployment): resilience, interoperability with likeminded, trusted partners.
- Assure (Technology Assurance & Accountability): data privacy, ethical sourcing, rule of law, and transparency that enable mutual recognition among trusted partners.
xGTT creates no new regulatory obligations. Entities that demonstrate these practices can earn the “Trusted Tech” designation, a lightweight, operator-friendly process that signals readiness and unlocks faster, frictionless teaming with other verified, trusted partners around the world.
“The Global Trusted Tech Standard turns trust into speed,” said Michelle Giuda, CEO of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue. “It gives the free world a simple way to work together, innovate faster, and strengthen the backbone of freedom.”
