Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue Names Marc Carlson Chief Revenue Officer

The World Leader in Tech Statecraft Gains Momentum With Addition of
Former State Department Senior Advisor and 5G Deployment Expert

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN, and WASHINGTON, DC — The Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue continues to expand its senior leadership team with the appointment of Marc Carlson as Chief Revenue Officer. As a member of numerous executive teams during his 38-year career in high-growth robotics, mechanical design, business systems automation, digital transformation management, multi-asset process automation and data flow automation, Carlson has helped create over $80 billion in market value. In his new role, Carlson, will be responsible for the growth and integration of all revenue generation processes in the Institute as the organization creates and leads a new category of Tech Statecraft to advance freedom through trusted technology.

As a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of State, Carlson played a crucial role in building the Clean Network Alliance of Democracies to include 60 countries accounting for two-thirds of the world’s GDP, more than 200 telcos, and dozens of industry-leading companies aligned on using only trusted technology in their 5G infrastructure.

In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, he is a member of several corporate and philanthropic boards. Carlson is a lifelong Boilermaker holding Mechanical Engineering and Business (BSME and MSM) degrees from Purdue University.

He is not only a brilliant engineer and one of the best enterprise business leaders I’ve even worked with, but an exemplary human being,” remarked Keith Krach, the Institute’s Chairman. “We are already fortunate to have Marc as one of our Advisory Board members. I am absolutely thrilled that he agreed to take on the additional leadership role as the Chief Revenue Officer and propel the Institute to the next level.”

The appointment of Carlson as Chief Revenue Officer follows a number of recent senior hires under Director Michelle Giuda as the Institute focuses on long-term growth and impact, including Dan Kurtenbach as Chief Growth Officer and Brad McKinney as VP of Strategic Initiatives.
