Panel: Trusted Connectivity to Ensure Energy Security

Riina Sikkut, Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure of Estonia; Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany; Daiva Garbaliauskaitė, Vice Minister of Energy of Lithuania; and Konrad Hanschmidt, Co-founder and CEO of GridIO, will discuss the implications of trusted connectivity – a framework for a free, open and connected world, constituting the democracies’ response to global infrastructure gap – for the future of energy security.

The panelists will discuss how to balance the urgent need for reliable and cheap energy today with the objective of transitioning to renewable sources of energy tomorrow; the future role of nuclear energy; and the merits of increasing domestic supplies of energy vs. seeking trusted alternatives from other partner countries.
