Panel 1: Artificial Intelligence Meets Real Diplomacy

Inspired by Pillar III of America’s AI Action Plan, calling on the U.S. to lead in international AI diplomacy and security, this session explores how to build next-generation partnerships and alliances anchored in AI – the connective layer of the trusted tech stack. As the world begins to consolidate around U.S. and allied AI technology, leaders from government and industry get real about the easy wins, the political and technical knots that still need untangling, and the bold moves required to operationalize AI alliances built on trust and speed so the free world wins.

Participants:

  • Ron Ash, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Accenture Federal Services
  • Joseph Larson, Vice President of Government, OpenAI
  • Brandon Remington, Deputy Under Secretary for Policy, U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration
  • James Roscoe, Chargé d’Affaires, British Embassy
  • Moderator: Heather Nauert, Broadcast journalist, Former Spokesperson, U.S. Department of State

Panel 2: Reenergize. Reindustrialize. Reinvent 21st-Century Leadership

Energy is the foundation of the trusted technology stack – the power behind every chip, factory, data center, and frontier model. Across the free world, a massive build-out is underway: advanced nuclear, next-generation grids, critical minerals, and the industrial base to make it real. Without energy dominance, there is no AI dominance. This session explores how the United States and its allies can turn the energy build-out into strategic advantage, connecting infrastructure, innovation, and investment to create a flywheel for growth, security, and leadership.

Participants:

  • Carla Sands, Former U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark; Senior Fellow, America First Policy Institute
  • Tarun Chhabra, Head of National Security Policy, Anthropic
  • Yuki Shimizu, Special Advisor, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), JAPAN, and Director, Industrial Research at JETRO New York
  • The Honorable Young Kim, U.S. Representative, California’s 39th Congressional District, U.S. House of Representatives
  • Moderator: Drew Maloney, President & CEO, Edison Electric Institute

2025 Trusted Tech Leadership Awards

Presented by: Keith Krach, Chairman, Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue

Read the announcement HERE.

The Trusted Tech Leadership Awards this year honor three companies and one ally defining the next generation of trusted technology: the creators of the trusted tech stack. This year’s private-sector honorees – Atomic Industries, ReElement, and Strider Technologies – exemplify purpose-built innovation across key layers of the stack: advanced manufacturing, critical mineral refining, and data and intelligence. Each is unapologetically providing the United States and its allies a strategic edge to ensure that technology advances freedom. Our public-sector honoree, the Government of Sweden, is proving that innovation itself can be Europe’s greatest export, advancing freedom, security, and partnership across borders. Together, these leaders show the courage, conviction, and ingenuity that define what winning looks like in the free world’s new era of trusted technology.

Awardees:

  • Mark C. Jensen, CEO, ReElement Technologies
  • Aaron Slodov, Co-Founder & CEO, Atomic Industries
  • Greg Levesque, CEO & Co-Founder, Strider Technologies
  • Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch (virtual), Remarks by Ambassador Urban Ahlin, Government of Sweden
Special Remarks:

Mung Chiang, President, Purdue University; Co-Founder, Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue

Fireside Chat: From the Clean Network to Strategic Competition

When the architect of the Clean Network sits down with the Chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, the conversation isn’t about abstract ideas; it’s about leadership and results. Chairman Keith Krach and Congressman John Moolenaar discuss how America and its allies can strengthen the free world’s edge through trusted innovation, economic coordination, and unified technological leadership. This fireside chat explores how the Clean Network laid the foundation for tech diplomacy, and how, together, allies can extend that framework to win the long game.

Participants:

  • Keith Krach, Chairman, Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue
  • Hon. John Moolenaar, Chairman, House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party
Panel 3: The Best Defense Is a Good Offense. And Allies

This moment demands more of everything that wins wars before they’re fought. As Secretary Hegseth recently underscored, that means more innovation, more AI, more cyber, more speed – and a recognition that America can’t do it alone. The free world’s strength depends on allies. This session brings together defense and technology leaders from across allied nations to dig into what it takes to move from defense to offense together, building trusted, superior technologies that secure freedom and prosperity for generations to come.

Participants:

  • Roberto Baldoni, Senior Advisor on Technology and Cybersecurity Policy to the Italian Ambassador in the USA
  • Brendan Dowling, Deputy Secretary, Critical Infrastructure & Protective Security, Australian Government
  • Mikko Karikyto, Chief Product Security Officer, Ericsson
  • Alex Wong, Global Chief Strategy, Hanwha Group
  • Moderator: Josh Rogin, Lead Global Security Analyst, WP Intelligence, The Washington Post
