Kazuhisa Shimada

Kazuhisa Shimada has had a long and successful career at the Japanese Defense Agency (JDA), and the Ministry of Defense. becoming the Former Vice-Minister of Defense from 2020 to 2022. He is currently the Advisor to the Ministry of Defense and Special Advisor to the Cabinet on defense policy. Shimada has served as the Director for the JDA’s Defense Intelligence Division and the Ministry of Defense’s Defense Planning Division. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Keio University.
