Audrey Tang: Setting the Trusted Technology Standard
At the 2024 Trusted Tech Summit, Audrey Tang, Taiwan’s Cyber Ambassador-at-Large and Chair of the Krach Institute’s Global Trusted Tech (xGTT) Standard initiative, discussed technology’s immense potential to enhance the human condition, but warned about attempts to weaponize it by authoritarian regimes and malicious actors. In her remarks, Audrey laid out the case for setting the standard that would not only define “Trusted Tech,” but help identify “Trusted Tech” entities—whether they are countries, companies, organizations, products, or services—to enable seamless, secure and trusted collaboration that would, ultimately, advance freedom. Google’s Ruth Porat Accepts Krach Institute’s Trusted Tech Leadership Award

The Global Tech Security Commission Report: Imperatives for Securing Freedom Through Trusted Tech
