Andy Drake

Andy Drake is retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps in June 2023 after 36 years. After spending four years in the Office of Net Assessment, he most recently served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as the senior advisor for China war-plans in Policy. A prior-enlisted Intelligence Officer, he was also a China Foreign Area Officer for 25 years and was stationed in the PRC for four years, visited every Province and over 60 cities, and had a tour as the Marine Attaché in Beijing. Andy wrote a classified thesis on the PLA’s capacity to amphibiously invade Taiwan, and has visited Taiwan a dozen times.
