There Are No Cheat Codes in Life

Looking back, what do you wish you had known at 20 years old that would have helped you to become a better leader now?

I actually think the things that I normally would say, used to say, like, “Oh, I wish… don’t sweat it, or have fun along the way,” that kind of stuff. I think that makes you who you are though. So, in my opinion, there’s nothing that I would tell myself when I was younger. Because I think that means that they’re like there’s cheat codes, and I don’t think there’s cheat codes in life.

I think everybody has to go through what they have to go through. Like, for me, I had to have gone through a crazy 2020, and a horrible 2020, and have my mental health questioned in 2020, when it’s never been questioned. I’ve always had very stable mental health. But I’m not 40, but as I go into my 40s in the future, that’s going to make me even a better leader in my 40s, I think.

So, I wouldn’t have told myself anytime in my 40s what I would’ve done better in my 30s, right? Because I think that’s made me who I am, I think those mistakes were sadly, they had to happen.
