You have such a remarkable tech career, but you started out not really as a hacker or an engineer, which is your background from college, but rather as a seller. You were selling products in eBay while working on your MBA at Stanford. And so I'm just wondering what attracted you to that platform and was that where your love and your expertise for online marketplaces started?

Yeah. I actually not only loved selling things on eBay, I actually interned at eBay when I was in business school. And so it was just an incredible opportunity to see the inside of technology companies. I had spent a couple years, I had an engineering degree from Duke and then I spent a couple years in consulting. And I just loved how technology could bring people together. And that was my first foray into tech. And I could just see how eBay was opening up so many opportunities for people and how technology could enable so many things that we could never have imagined before.

I know that you love scrapbooking as well. So, it's interesting. So you're creative, but you're also very technical minded. It's a rare skill in a lot of people.

Yeah. I mean, I love kind of memory keeping and scrapbooking. And then in some ways that's what drew me to Ancestry. It's really kind of recording and capturing your family's stories and looking at and discovering your family history. That's what's really special is, that's what brought me here to Ancestry actually, is that love of scrapbooking and keeping memories alive.
