You are at a stage now, where you’re facing something that I think many companies are facing, you’re realizing, “Hey, certain employees work really much better when they have that face-to-face contact.” For example, your sales team, how are you going to structure the Cameo of the future where you can bring everybody together, but maybe not the way that you used to be together?

Yeah, it’s really interesting. I personally believe the days of everybody in the office every day, all in one place, I think those days are passed. There may be companies that shift totally that way, but I think for most employees, while some love offices, many have really enjoyed the flexibility that comes with being able to work from home. And at this point, we’ve all done it, hopefully we’ve all been able to show trust in ourselves or in our teammates that whether I see you or not today, you can get your work done.
I do think for some functions like sales, marketing, that creativity, that energy that comes from being together, it helps make the pace of learning go quicker. I think for employees younger in their careers, that mentorship opportunity that they can get sitting next to someone great that does their job, those.... I think back to my first jobs and those people I met, or I came in with, those are some of my best friends to this day, and my mentors that I had early. These are the people that, to me, really had been pretty fundamental in my career development.
So, I think it’s a mix of giving people places to collaborate and be creative, but also not being draconian if people can like get their work done, but the most important thing is getting the work done. All I know is my people are all over the place and I can’t really picture a world where I’m telling everyone you have to be in Chicago or LA in two weeks or two months, or you’re not working here anymore.
I think from a global perspective, the advantages of remote work are incredible, right? We can go hire the best people in the world no matter where they are, but now it’s one thing to hire them, but how do you get them all to work together? And again, this is something we are learning, just like every other company.
