Yeah, I love this question. I’m a big believer in feedback. I mean, nobody is perfect, I’m not perfect, and we are always striving. We should always be striving to grow. And the only way you’re going to grow is by getting feedback. And feedback has got to be honest, it’s got to be… To me, it’s got to be real time.
So, one of the things I always promise my team is, hey, if I hear something about you, I’m going to tell you right away. I’m going to call you right away, and I’m going to say hey, you know what? I just heard something from another stakeholder that said they did not like the way you showed up in a meeting, or the way you communicated something, something about your style, it was too abrupt, it was too, you know? You could have been a little more compassionate here, so…
Or good feedback, right away, if I hear something good about someone on the team, I’m going to call them and say, “You know what? I just heard that you just did this amazing presentation, I got some great feedback on it.” So, feedback to me has got to be real time. I’m not going to wait until your performance review, because frankly, I won’t remember.
