Early on in your career when you were hiring based on just the resume, what made you think that was a mistake? What did you end up getting?

Yeah, so I got people who were really, really good at getting results, but the how, in terms of getting the results was incompatible with the team members that they were working with. And so you started to see a kind of a fracture of issues in different areas. That’s one example.
Another was, people may have actually had the right personality, they may have also really wanted to come for the role that they were going into, being excited about it. But ultimately, if they came because it was about how much they got paid for the job, then we end up not being able to deal with the bumps that show up over time.
But it was more so definitely the first in terms of the how, and that was—were some of the issues that followed. And for anyone that’s worked for me that I hired a while ago, it does not mean I don’t think you’re good at your job or having regrets of having you get hired. I’m not referring to you, if you’re watching this.
