Balancing Act

As a mom and a wife, a partner and daughter and a sister, I certainly had a lot to ensure that I was integrating in my life. And that was something that was a challenge right off the bat, because the travel was so much more significant compared to my previous role. It was definitely figuring out how to integrate that mom role and my other roles into that role of being a president at the same time.

And I think that’s such a timely example, especially now when people bring their whole selves to work as they have to because many of them are still working remotely. And so you have to find a way to integrate your home life with your work life and just figure out a way to make it all work.

You do. And I think that integration, just even the word integration is so important, Thuy, because I know when I was starting off in my career, there was all this discussion about balance. And I don’t think it’s realistic to have a balance or to compartmentalize anymore, and I found that I get the most joy in figuring out how to integrate the two. And to your point, now more so than ever, I mean, I’m doing this interview from my home, you know, that work and home have just blended.
