Yoshimatsu Kobayashi

Yoshimitsu Kobayashi has served as Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO)’s chairman of the board since 2021. Before that he was director from 2012-2015. He has also been in various positions at the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Industries, including director of the board, president and CEO, and general manager. Kobayashi has held official government positions in the Japanese government. He has sat on the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy, Council for Industrial Competitiveness, and the Council for Science, Technology, and Innovation. Kobayashi earned a PhD in radiation physics from the University of Tokyo, Japan.
