Yasuhiko Taniwaki

Yasuhiko Taniwaki joined the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) in April 1984. After serving as Secretary to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and Counselor for ICT Policy of the Japanese Embassy in the United States, he was appointed as Deputy Director-General for the National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC) and Councilor for the Cabinet Secretariat in June 2013, Director-General of Global ICT Strategy Bureau in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in June 2016, Director-General for Policy Planning (Information Security) in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in July 2017, Director-General of Telecommunications Bureau in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in July 2018 and Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination of Posts and Telecommunications in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications before retiring in March 2021. He joined IIJ in January 2022, and has provided support overseeing management as Executive Vice President since June 2022
