So the Cameo vision is to create technology which enables all the world’s talent to have personal relationships with each and every one of their fans that they want to have a personal relationship with. So, we want to build the tools which enable talent to turn regular fans into rabid super fans. As you zoom out and you think about what it’s going to take to do that, there’s a lot of things. Number one, it starts with having all the world’s talent on the platform.
Today, there’s 50,000 people on Cameo. We think there’s 5 million that could be on at some point in the future, so we are really, really early here. And talents at global business, it’s not just the US, you’re thinking about: K-pop and Bollywood and Telenovela stars or—I’m Greek, and my mom and her friends are like, “Why isn’t this Greek singer on yet?”
Like it’s such a massive world and we all have people that are exciting us. So, getting those on, there’s also plenty of verticals, even in the US that we haven’t, you know, authors, podcast hosts, these are super influential people that maybe we haven’t even done a great job yet onboarding here domestically.
So, there’s just so much surface area here. And one of the challenges as CEO is when you’re in a business with at once so much white space, and so much green space, like trying to really prioritize ruthlessly, what are the biggest ideas we can pursue? And how do we get there?
So, if you ask me in three to five years, what can we do? I think that we become the best talent platform on earth for talent to engage with their fans, I think that if they have their idea of technology to go do the next thing, whatever that is, we should be their first call.
