The Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue and Dr. Fabio Ribeiro of Purdue University hosted a private roundtable “Pathways to Decarbonize the Economy – Energy Innovations to Meet the Climate Challenge” at the Concordia Americas Summit in Miami on July 14, 2022.

The energy transition to renewable sources is the challenge of our century. How can we deliver process innovations that are far more efficient and cost-effective while decreasing waste and emissions for manufactured products? Accelerating an environmentally sustainable economy, economic prosperity, and energy security for the world requires both transformative technology and economically viable processes.

This roundtable led by Dr. Fabio Ribeiro provided a crash course presentation examining this challenge, followed by Q&A and conversation with the participants. Dr. Ribeiro is the R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and DIrector of CISTAR, one of the flagship Engineering Research Centers funded by the National Science Foundation.
